Another Body 03:59
Throw another body in the basement Throw another body in the basement The rats will eat up what the feds don’t clean up Cue that tumbleweed from stage right Throw another body in the basement Take it to the bottom and erase it Bathing time with a twist of lime Slough those bones right outta sight Facilities breaking down at the edges Vision blurs and shakes I’d rather be late than straight Un poco de motita y un chingo de chelas I’d rather be late than straight People’s echoes bump and scrape, sandpaper on a baby’s nape Grab a shovel, slice the earth, dig the worms with all you’re worth People’s echoes bump and scrape, sandpaper on a baby’s nape Grab a shovel, slice the earth, dig the worms, I’ll take your worst Throw another body in the basement Throw another body in the basement Who needs stones when yesterday’s Bones break tomorrow’s dawn Throw another body in the basement Take it to the bottom and erase it Heave, ho, look out below Got a little back-up on the lawn I’ll stop spinning around When there’s someone to turn to who won’t let me down I’ll stop spinning around When there’s someone to turn to who won’t let me Down the street, I’ll strip them gears I’ve been asleep for thirty years I’ll stick my fingers in my ears and La la la la la la la la la No more room in the basement No more room in the basement Who needs stones when yesterday’s Bones break tomorrow’s dawn No more room in the basement Take it to the bottom and erase it Heave, ho, look out below Got a little back-up on the lawn

Can’t you almost hear the wave of progress building Veins and guttyworks rewired with copper shielding A 10,000 kilocycle hum will augment anybody’s home You’ll stay on top, you’ll never stop They’ll have to drag you from the phones There should be a protocol for that 48-bit processor underneath your hat There should be a protocol for that If only you weren’t human You’d be so much more useful If only you weren’t human We’d program you to replace me Efficiently Done with Dewey, you can turn librariandroid Get galvanized to ensure you’re never destroyed Hey you just sitting there, don’t you think you’re bigger than your fears Don’t you think your fears are just a mere program to shut down Let us help you shut down There should be a protocol for that 48-bit processor underneath your hat Experiencing love and guaranteed to last Why wait for the world of tomorrow, update now now now now 01001100 00101111 01110110 01100101 010101011 Viewing through the cinematech, you can almost see the wave of progress breaking Scattering cogs and whirring chassis’ on the shoreline He who stops the sand of time erodes the beach of creation These days, you gotta be grounded You gotta be ground dead

about

The DUIY EP was the first release from OFM and features two songs written by Gavin Elder and electrified by the band. Produced by Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo) and Charlie Brocco (Jeff Lynne, Talking Heads) at Sixteen Ton in Nashville, the mania that the songs barely contain is a glimpse of their live shows at the time—wreckless, tripolar, and undependent until the end.
